Modern country band The Jackson Line present their debut EP, Don't Wait, at The Transition, Chelmsford.
With storytelling, harmonies and guitars at the heart of what they do, The Jackson Line are proud to be part of the explosion of country music in the UK.
Firmly in the modern country genre, but drawing influences from a wide range of musical styles, the band have allowed those influences to penetrate their sound and create something unique to UK Country. Rather than asking ‘is this country?’, the band focused on ‘do we like this song, and are we proud to play it?’ resulting in the range of songs on their debut EP, Don’t Wait.
Opening the night are Two Ways Home. In the three years that have passed since the release of their debut EP ‘Wood For Trees’ (March 2015), Two Ways Home have enjoyed radio play across the UK & Europe, toured internationally – sharing stages with artists across the country/Americana spectrum from Phil Vassar to Red Sky July – and have been featured extensively in print publications including Maverick Magazine, Record Collector and The Sun, with the latter describing their sound as “…crystal clear harmonies tinged with melancholy”.
